The schools in the county were closed on Friday as we braced for a potential snow storm. Of course, since we homeschool we just cruised through our classes and watched out the window from time to time.
Nothing.
Then later in the afternoon we saw some white stuff. It lasted for a few minutes. There were some big snow flakes mixed in with some noisy sleet. It didn’t lay on anything, except my black coat; not the grass, not the cars, not the patio table.
Then it ended.
Up north a little bit there was about 3 inches. And, to our NW in Mobile, there was about the same. So it snows in South Alabama, just not way south. At least not this year….
