Cool App for People on the Gulf Coast

It’s called Swim Guide and it’s available for both Apple and Android products.
It allows you to find out the water quality at a beach near you. You can also find a beach nearby, bookmark favorite beaches, and report pollution problems if you spot them.
Our Mobile Baykeeper just added the beaches of Mobile and Baldwin County to the program. These include Dauphin Island, Gulf Shores, Orange Beach and others.  You can find other beaches but they seem to mostly be in south Florida, California, the Great Lakes or Canada.  The app is obviously new and a work in progress but it’s pretty cool.  I just looked up Dauphin Island East End.  It is giving a yellow flag warning, directions, and  an “I’m here” feature so you can tell your friends on social media where you are.
